Hotel Villa Belvedere, built in 1902, is discreetly situated in the rich green belt surrounding Taormina, near the town's Botanical gardens and the ruins of the ancient Greek-Roman amphitheatre. Although it has been renovated over the years, the hotel still has managed to retain its original cosy and friendly atmosphere. Most of the 47 simple and well-furnished rooms overlook the terraced gardens planted with orange and lemon trees, and swimming pool, the splendid Bay of Naxos and Mount Etna in the distance. Villa Belvedere is only a 5 minutes stroll from the historical sites, yet sheltered from the hustle and bustle of town life. It is also in proximity to the cable-car and steps leading down to the sea. Villa Belvedere is well suited for the independent and discerning traveller. It has adopted the "Bed and Breakfast" system, which is ideal for those who wish to be free from fixed meals. However, it offers an excellent buffet lunch and à la carte menu around the swimming pool from April to October. The warm welcome and personal service guaranteed by the Pécaut-Bambara family, allows guests to take home a little of the spirit and character of this charming old hotel. Villa Belvedere is open from the 20th of February to the 20th of November, and from the 19th of December until the 15th of January. |
